Hey all many questions to ask! I recently bought the f2 from Fisher and i love it alot! But i'm finding out that the places i wanna detect, all the signals are down deeper than 6" and the f2 just can't get that kinda depth. For example, I went hunting with my grandpa he has the at pro from like 2007 and hes digging wheats after wheats 8-10" in the ground! My f2 didn't ring a bell while his was giving a solid signal. i'm looking at getting an AT pro from Garrett and I heard Lots of negative and lots of positive about the At pro. I was wondering if any of you knew of any other good detectors like the at pro or know of any modifications for the F2 besides the dd coil. I am not about to spend 594.00 for a detector thats junk. I would love to hear if you guys had any experience with the At pro and the year of your machine because i heard that models after 2011 are junk? any help appreciated
Also looking at the fisher f75 or the minelab x terra 505.

Welcome aboard from the great state of Pennsylvania! Now, until someone pipes in - I would jump over to SubForum: Fisher Research Labs (related to your F2, etc.) browse and/or leave a message with your concern. If you are interested in the Garrett - you could jump over to SubForum: Garrett. Oh heck, you can jump over to SubForum: Brands and research all different Metal Detectors. Over time, you will find that all Metal Detector's are a little different. They all require a learning curve to master them appropriately.
