Detected a little bit of everything today. Took my car in for services (I?m in Germany, no Veterans day here) and detected a church down the road from the garage. Got a little disoriented walking through town but then I saw this sign, now I know where I am, LOL!

Detected the sides of the road leading up to the church, just about 1.5 meters off the road. This is where children will line up after a wedding with a rope blocking a newly wed couple until they throw money out the window to the children, it?s a tradition and a darn good one!

Found a little over $12.00 in clad Euros and a few German Marks, great way to wait on my car being serviced. The $12.00 didn?t come close to paying the garage bill, LOL!

I grudgingly paid my bill at the garage and drove to the drained lake. This lake has 3 beaches, this beach is smaller than the public beach, it?s on the camping side of the lake. Detected here for about an hour or so then went over to an even smaller camping beach for another 45 minutes.

Found 9.50 German Marks, $5.50ish, and 80 Euro cents.

Also found some jewelry, the thick ring is the only silver, the rest is junk.

Went home and had lunch. Wifey asked me if I was going back out detecting, surprised, I said YES! So went to a farm field for about 1.5 hrs. Here are the relics. A watch winder, button, button, musket ball, lead seal with the word Salt, another lead seal and a lead bullet.

Obverse of the coins I found, 1906, 197?, 1925, 18??, 1940ish, and a nice 1935 Aluminium 50 Pfenning coin.

Reverse of the coins.

A very nice relic find. After finding hundreds of musket balls, I finally found their maker, or at least half. I had no idea what this was until I cleaned it, a musket ball mold half. I thought it was an exciting find! Thanks for looking and HH, Mike

You certainly seem to have no problem finding a "variety" of coins on your outings !! :o

Color me jealous. :D

GREAT JOB !!

The only thing confusing about that roadsign is why it did not have an arrow pointing down to say "You are HERE" . ;D

Fantastic finds Mike. Really love the musket ball mold. What is the caliber, could help with determining the age. Congrats....Lance

Great finds, Mike. After all that hunting, your detecting arm must be twice the size of your other arm! :D Keep on posting. We appreciate all your pictures, descriptions, and your treasures.

Maybe next time your cars need worked on I will have money to fly to germany from OHIO, I work on your cars and you take me out detecting to all those great sites you have! Is it just me, or is the design on that earring, kinda squiggly/snake looking thing, a dead-ringer for the ring posted last month that the finder thought might have come from the 1714 fleet. If I recall, the ring had that exact design, was silver or silver-looking, and there was a lot of debate about the age. Does anyone else see the resemblance?

WOW!! What a haul!! I'd take my car in if I thought I could find 1/4 of that. WTG!! HH
