Depth reading on F75

Re: JackinFlorida

If u want to try disc mode without a Popsicle headache especially in trash use single tone it helps to define targets

and mental tone overload with multi tones in trash I do like 3h and 4 tones in the open

Traded my SOV GT for F 75 and would do it again its light fun easy [ long as its not run to hot]

my ID is pretty close and small coil is sweet Mike

With the mix of comments that are coming out, I gotta believe that some people are getting hot, well built units and some people are getting dogs. My first was a dog and I sent it back. The unit I have now works fine, and I will enjoy coaxing the most out of it I can, but I gotta say that I feel for those people that are getting the dog units and are trying real hard to get it to work. I just hope Fisher is looking hard at how to get things more consistent or the warranty that we have isn't going to be worth a plug nickle in a couple of years.

Well Bill and Jim, Thanks for all the help but I'm done.. I tryed it again this evening same unstable, vdi jumping and inaccurate pinpointing depth... And when I was on the way in I felt a wobble.. The battery box is loose now...I really don't think First Texas gives a tinkers dam about what they sell!!! I have had many different model and makes of detector over the years and this is the absolute worse one i have ever put my hands on!! They should offer a full refund to whom ever purchased one of these lemons!!! There might be a handfull of good ones but it does seem most are not happy with their machines.. I would like to put here what I'm really thinking but don't want to be banned!! The absolutely the worse one I have had my hands one through the years.. (I have been detecting since the early 70's)

I don't mean to point out the obvious, but because two or three people have had problems, doesn't actually equate to "most."

There were these threads on occasion before I bought my F75, it was hard to figure out what to do. It was actually hunting with it and the DFX side by side that made the choice obvious. The depth readings above are for a penny. My PI Pro won't even get a penny at 12 inches. I dug a nickel in the woods at about 13" with a strong signal and pinpointed within an inch. I got it with a hole not wider than my hand shovel.

In my 10 weeks of ownership, I wouldn't trade this thing for any other machine. I am sorry cosmic got a lemon. When I look at my machine, I know that it is not built like my White's by a long shot, but it is what it is. For now, I think it is the deepest seeking unit on the market.

Well I'm done with and its already gone...Sorry about wasting everyones time.. It is a real shame though I still think it would be a great detector if it worked like it should and is capable of.. Quality is poor and is a big strike especially on a top of the line flagship...

Kind of makes me wonder if the people that were working at Fisher walked off enmasse when FT took over. If the same people were still working at Fisher I would think this kind of thing wouldn't be happening.

I'm on my own.. The dealer I bought it from let me trade it in on a Minelab X-terra 70 pro package.. Lost quite a bit of money but at least it will work!!! The only way I'll ever have another Last Texas product is if they give it to me and I would have to test it first!! I will NEVER reccommend them to anyone for any reason!! To bad they HAD great potential...
P.S. I do like their pinpointers!! It's the only LTP I will own...
