Dent's Run News: Geophysical Survey Released After Lawsuit

I understand your thought for the panning now.

No clue about the rock. You can make a argument for it either way. We have no way of knowing.

Relics have can have absolutely nothing or absolutely everything to do with this story. I am not sure in what was found so you or I cannot comment on that.

Research a small band of soldiers being under attack and how they fight back/evade capture.

Ah yes the draft animals. According to the searcher there was one shipment of bars from the soldiers and other loot placed in that location from another party/time. Not tons all at once. You might want to go reread the original story & his theory.

Maybe it was an inside job, but I’m sure you properly vetted that also. While your at it let’s hear your theories on Amelia Earhart, Jimmy Hoffa, DB Cooper, and Jack the Ripper.
It's difficult to reread the original story when the author keeps changing it anytime someone points out inaccuracies.

It amuses me when people are so sure of something that they are not well versed on.
It amazes me when people are so quick to argue with and discount the knowledge of others whom they know almost nothing about.

Gold!
Tons of it!
Really!

What proof do you have?

I’ll wait.

The night dig having been debunked is in the running for biggest proof. By such the claim of a secret gold heist in the night didn't happen. Never mind the lack of evidence of anything to heist.
The claim of not being there when his car was supports a problem with credibility.
Supported by the Indian remains trip up when it was denied they were mentioned to a federal , but then later it was stated by the same person that they were.

Tipping ones hand ruins the game. Blaming someone else for stealing what wasn't there and insisting they prove it wasn't didn't impress many followers awaiting any solid evidence of gold besides an anomaly on an electronic piece of equipment that was off from dug area. Which wasn't evidence of gold anyways. (After all, even I can get a pull tab to ring up gold.)

All pointing at federal agents did when no gold exists did was confirm no gold.
Lets alone tons and tons of it.
Not even a faint scratch of it on rock anywhere! Or even a crumb detected after.
Yes the site was searched" by plaintiff's equipment after. Or was claimed to have been . Thus confirming , wait for it... Still no gold on site.
The transportation and handling under duress and burial (how was it buried again?) in the fabled arrival at the gully...It must have been handled with gloves like it was nitro glycerin in order to leave no trace residue any where let alone a stray piece.
I might be getting fired upon next and die , but hey I'm going to see that every piece of gold is going to be secured and accounted for first. Or I might not get paid!

Still , no gold proven on site. No matter the tale.

Where's your proof of gold on site?

I don’t have one. Sounds like you have no rock solid evidence either.

I don’t have any. Neither do you that it wasn’t there. Just conjecture.

It surprises me that not one of you naysayers mentioned how he selected that spot, but I guess most on here didn’t read ALL of the original posts, like I did.

It is absurd how he picked that spot.

Still doesn’t mean there wasn’t anything there. There is no proof for or against something being there.

Just sitting on your armchairs, foaming at the mouth, and slapping away at the keyboard. Taking breaks once in a while to yell at children to stay off your lawns.

Kinda makes me think why traffic has slowed down on here. Every time there is a topic of interest it turns into an episode of Matlock.

Great! What is the Spanish mound?
Wen a day laborer uses the gas station bathroom before you

And you insult others who don't praise the fictional account of gold at Dents Run?

With all due respect, the absence of evidence is evidence of absence. The U.S. military has always been paperwork heavy. And the Civil War is one of the best documented wars of the 19th Century.

IF there was gold in the first place, and IF it was dragged through the woods, does it make sense that the U.S. Government wouldn't have gone after it?

The gold isn't the only thing missing in this yarn.

Good luck to all,

Paperwork goes missing all the time within government agencies.

And I’m still waiting for someone to explain the large scale turnout of men and resources.

Government wastes men and resources on pointless stuff all the time. It's kinda their thing.

You’re getting all fired up over nothing (literally).

Do you have some sort of ax to grind with this case?
No. Saw some questions posted earlier in the thread and it was apparent that not everyone has been informed of the information released from the investigation. My ax may be sharper than some. Why let them chop wood with a dull ax?

Many not informed, but quick to question.

Question: Why did he pick that spot?
If you look through all the threads about people following treasure legends you'll notice that a lot of it ends up coming down to a hunch that is pulled out of the thin air of whatever research they did. I specifically refer to all the people who "just knew" where the Forrest Fenn treasure was hidden, and a member here who "just knew" there was KGC treasure buried under his house and tore up the floorboards and dug a 50'+ vertical shaft below his house. The latter wouldn't respond to questions as to why he thought there was treasure there (or that deep), and eventually requested that the thread be deleted. I think he also deleted his account. It's gold fever, and has afflicted people for thousands of years. Once you're infected, fatigue and a self awareness of total defeat are about the only thing that cures it.

Question: Why did he pick that spot?
BTW- This info never appearing in the investigative record of the finder's interview or used as probable cause in the Writ of Seizure. Error of omission or lie by omission?
