Hit the beaches of OCMD and got a glimpse of coin beach this weekend. What I hunted showed a lot of erosion and very flat near the water, with many cuts. I dug over 60 targets with a majority of them quarters and nickels. Also, about 75% of the coins were older drops, very tarnished. I didn't find any gold but I'm sure it was there considering what I found and the estimated age of the finds.

Went over the IR bridge and got a good look at coin beach. Looked the same as the beaches in OC. Also looked like there were a few more hunters than normal there. Hope you did well. Wish I could have stopped.

My calves were killing me after huntin in the sand for about 10 hours straight on saturday.

Any way there is your Delmarva update. Gonna hit the beaches again in a week

Thanks for the update. Heading down to OC the first week of Decemeber with my family for the holiday lights on the beach. Hoping my wife lets me play for a few hours each morning. I always try to detect coin beach a little when I'm down that way. Do you think the tractors that clean the beach each night in OC during the peak of the season collects all the gold and coins dropped that day?

I don't think they run those bastardly machines very much after LaborDay

You might want to buy the boardwalk construction guys a round of coffee and maybe they will let you detect where they have torn up the boards.

I will probably just stroll the beach while detecting and I may head up to coin beach. I had a little luck on coin beach in September when I was in O.C. for training.
