Decorative brass cap or cover? How old and what is it?

Found this next to a stone wall in the woods. Can't figure out what it is, so I could use some help. Thought it was a button at first, but the hole in the middle ruled that out. It's slightly larger than a half dollar and it's very thin brass. Has a floral decoration on the front.

Here's a couple of pics. Any ideas?

Maybe with what appears to be horseshoes in 4 positions maybe part of bridle rosette

Rosette of some sort... Or some sort of "lid" missing its finial.
But ?

Just zoomed in on pic,should have done that earlier but now what I thought were horseshoes I think are parts of a flower..so now not sure about rosette,could still be or what DCMatt said.
