Day Two of a November Day's Hunt in Tulsa
John and I went to another old house in the Tulsa White City Area yesterday. I found a 1918 and 1939-D Mercury Dime (in the same hole), a 1928 Buffalo Nickel, and a Premium Child's brass ring that a friend identified for me in a guide book that has Airline Stewardess on the front and Wings on the back, Circa 1949-50. Apparently given to a child when a new pair of shoes were purchased. It cleaned up nicely and has some of the shiny plating left and worth 50$ to 75$. John found two more Mercs, a 1917 and a 1942. We both found several wheat cents ranging from 1918 to the 40's. John has returned to Arkansas with all his loot so I am not going to attempt another picture. A great two days with nine silver coins in all! Now if we could get some rain, both these old homes would yield a lot more I think. Even with the extremely dry conditions in Tulsa, both the Explorer II and the CZ-3D were giving us signals for good coins at up to seven or eight inches. Happy hunting to you all and do your rain dances for us Okies!
