Went back to start at the same place that I found the 1932 MIT class ring yesterday (have an e-mail in to the school to see if there are any relatives still around) and I could see that some sand had moved in during the last tidal cycle. I hunted there for about a 1/2 hour or so but was only getting some junk targets and hearing ALOT of iron again. I moved on down the beach back to where I found all the silver 2 days ago and started getting some sinkers and clad. I had to pay attention as the one low spot still remaining there had 2 families fishing on either side with 3-4 lines each in the water. I kept out of their way but didn't want to leave as I was finding more stuff there than anywhere else. Bingo! I was in knee-ankle deep water and I hit that nice low tone with the excal and there she was! A 1999 class ring! 10K, 7.5 grams. It's from a local high school so I guess I have some more e-mails/calls to make. Shouldn't be too had to track the owner of this one down as it hasn't been as long as the other one! Has a name on it and initials inside. Can't believe the streak is continuing!
Saw Max down by the hole from yesterday, he was getting his fill of tgts but no real tickets. I jumped in there for a while as well but was pretty much smoked after being out there for around 3 1/2-4 hours. On my way off the beach I saw Denny who saw our trucks parked on the street and came to show off HIS class ring (1922!) that he had found just a little ways down from where mine came out. That spot has been producing pretty well but after tomorrow it will prob be even more sanded in. I'll give it another shot sometime tomorrow but It may be time to look at a few other spots as well. Thanks for looking!
Oh, and the garage sale find of the day (had one in the neighborhood today) were the 3 Plano boxes, never used, for a whopping $1! Good day all around!
