I spent most of the day exploring the woods looking for the 1800's house foundation(s). No luck on the foundation but I did find this cool old spring head. It's literally 50 feet from state highway 431. I've driven past it for 40 years and have never seen it till today. That's where I found the old nail. What I believe was a bell was found on the trail leading to the spring. The two Roosevelt dimes were found four feet from where I parked. 🤣 It was a good day for some nature photos. I also found this rock full of some kind of fossils. Anyone know what they are?
