Looks good to me. I'm surprised you don't find more buttons, loads in fact. I don't feel so bad now. Well there is the matter of those gold coins but they are just too rare here to even put on my want list.

So the Spanish silver and buttons are mine, everything else for you. :-\

Fantastic finds.
Exactly how many thimbles do you find?
Just curious. I see another "beehive" in the mix.

I've lost count. About one everytime (average). I keep just the silver ones or unusual patterns, the rest go in a sales box.

Yeah its a badly knocked about beehive & I keep all of those as we only get about 5 a year.

Thimbles were worn by the works to protect their fingers when bailing hay. You only need one bit of straw between your nail to figure out why.

We found about 25 flat buttons today. They were plain so were not kept, otherwise I would need a bigger house.

Yes we turn up quite a few too. (I LOVE digging them) Usually by the time I find 20 I'll have an early military.

You always amaze me with your hunting buddy.
I still can't get over your recent gold coin recovery......

Keep safe...

I ALWAYS apreciate you lessons in artifacts!!! Thank you!

As always very-very nice finds! Whens your dad coming back to hunt with you? If he's sick or something tell him we're wishing him well from the other side of the big pond! I usally don't reply to your post's cause they're mind boggeling to my newbie mind. LOL I was just wondering if the elephant had any wording on it? Any possibility of dating it? Once again great hunts 1-5 on your own HH Tom

Nice finds. Too bad that 1964 Jefferson nickel is only worth 2 cents. LOL.

CRUSADER, the mix of your finds is truly amazing. . . and always interesting :)

I love the elephant!

Yeah, they are a sign of a good site. The more buttons & pieces of lead the better.

No wording on the elephant, I think its dated to about 1960s.
