Ok Brad and I went to another old farm house site today, it was right by the one where were at yesterday, nothing remained except the barns, the house has been gone for 20+ years I am told by the farmer. We were just hunting the open field.

I got an awesome arrowhead, I know I was metal detecting but my eyes are glues to the ground when I detect and with the size of this baby, there was no missing it, it was right on top the ground!!

I also got an 1890 IH penny, 3 wheats, 1918, 1945 and a no dater. Several marbles that were on top the dirt. I wish I knew more about them, I have no clue if any of these are valuable or not?? One looks hand made, it appears to be ceramic instead of glass, and one even looks dull like it is made of clay possibly???

Brad got a 1919 wheat, and 2 silver Merc's 42 and 44.

anyhow here are the pics, I made a video and will post it when it gets on youtube.

Nice finds. I know right now is a perfect time to get out just after the fields are plowed and seeded. Marbles are cool, too.

Nice post and YouTube , looks like a field I might want to help you guys hunt someday. LOL, Lima Ohio
guy here. You might want to look at my post today. My partner and I were also hunting old fields here in the
Great State Of Ohio!

Nice looking marbles, especially the clay marble.

Nice finds!
Got to love those fields!

I also found the slotted brass piece a few weeks ago. Mine has a screw hole on the squared up end.
My thoughts; a sear pin locking device used on older guns.

Thanks for posting!

this is the 3rd one I have found at old home sites, someone posted it awhile back in the what is it section, and it was part of a musical thing.

By the way, that button that says "Excelsior" could be a NY state button...  I couldn't see it very well in your video or photos.
