433 - 90% halves (Kens, Bens, Walkers, and a couple Barbers)
plus
126 - 40% halves on same day

Holy cow GMan! Were all of these in one box?? I thought you said in that other skunk thread that your 5 yr CRH career here in the Twin Cities never really produced much?? That's an amazing day!!

It wasn't all from one bank, only a few of the coins came from a partial box, and none of them came from the Twin Cities.

I also never said I haven't had some success (read my past posts...most from a few years ago), just that half dollar boxes have never produced much for me in the Twin Cities and suburbs. :)

For example, in the year I did the most half dollar rolls/boxes (2007), my half dollar results were as follows:

2038 MWR (machine wrapped rolls), or 40.76 boxes produced only 152 silver half dollars for an average of about 3.7 silver halves per box. And the best finds from that mix were not from the Twin Cities.

No problem...sorry, wasn't trying to put words in your mouth or anything like that. Sadly, I too am realizing that boxes aren't what they used to be. I still do a few a week, but I've began to focus on other options and/or coins as well.

Still, it's nice to hear from another miner from MN. I am still working towards finding my first solid roll. Hopefully, one of these days I'll get lucky enough to come across a nice find like you and some others have done in this thread.

Best to you...
