Agreed, I have found a few rings myself, one even had a teeny diamond in it and had no ID so there was no way of tracking down an owner. Now, if it was lying on top of the grass I would at least call the park district too see if someone had reported it lost, but of course would not give any info out so the info would have to match exactly, including what park they lost it at.

Seeing on how few I find (heck my record is 4 (real rings) in a year, and that in another state LOL) I doubt that would come into play.

BTW a .925 bracelet (school yard) and not so great photo of the ring.

Nice pics Oz. I've gotten maybe a dozen similar bracelets over the years. My rule is if it's inscribed, I want to find an owner. If not, it's finders keepers, losers thank you.

To Bomber's point on the wallets, my experience to date is 100%. All adult wallets have id and no cash, all kid wallets have cash and no id. Yeah, I've found more than a few. Most kids wallets are found at sledding hills and carnies. Adult wallets I've found on the street and at carnies many times, already picked through. Went to turn one in at Carpentersville P.D. once and they decided to hold me for questioning. Silly cops, I just played along, dummied up and said I want a lawyer until they got tired of me hanging around and talking about their somewhat vulgar interior decor.
