Dad's Lucky Day!
I spent the first two hours in the Surprise Field, only got 3 buttons but finished on a Hammered
Then spent two hours with Dad helping finish the next field.
I got a very rare Local Militia Button - backmark 1807-40. Found the back of it a metre apart.
Dad's best find right until the end was a 1921 3 pence. However, on the way back to the car, he shouted over 'Lead Mount', with my ear-phones on & the nearby train passing I thought he said 'Lead Mouse' (so thought OK a Lead Mouse is pretty cool I guess). He walked over & showed me a cracking 13th Century Lead Seal:
S'Wilelmi:Copman = Seal of Wilelmi Copman.
Of course I told him how lucky he was, which sunk in after he had the ID
