Nano, do you know if maybe there was an old well close by this old school? where you found the hook? Guess what I am thinking this was a hook that was attached to a rope & bucket handle for the well.....what do you think people? I could be wrong!

As far as I know there wasn't a school around there Michelle....but there was a house up around on the other side of the ridge. When I found it my first thought was some kind of digging tool... being that it was found in the same area on the hill as the holes that were dug by soldiers to hide in...but then again I my imagination was soaring just from being there! Maybe it is some sort of digging tool but used for a different purpose other than farming? I don't know.... I do really appreciate all the replies on this!
