CW Button [I think] and a pile of clad.

I hit an old landmark in a nearby town and found this Button.

You have an Eagle Button It is a General Service Civil War Era Eagle Button worn by the Yankee invader

I think with that backmark it's a reproduction... post CW, modern.

Hopefully I'm wrong...

Montana Jim may be right but I do know that some of those original Eagle buttons were also stamped. the Waterbury Co. was around at that time and making buttons...hmmm

Update: Just found a reference... 1930s to present. Modern version... Sorry merf...

I use that list all the time too... it's handy! Almost has all the back marks... and quickly helps you date the buttons. Good site Nana!
