A few days ago I dug a bullet up from a site in Northern Virginia that I have hunted for several years now that's left me wondering if its modern or a period bullet. I found a reference to possibly a Foreign Rifle .72 caliber but its one of those finds that something just doesn't look right. I included a picture of other bullets that were found along with it for reference. The grey colored ones along with the bullet in question were found in a wet area. Thanks for any help its very much appreciated!!

Thank You! It didn't feel or look right but I wasn't sure. Thanks again.

You're welcome. For confirmation, click the following link and scroll 2/3rds of the way down the webpage, to the last of the bullet photos, and check bullet 575213. Notice the extra-deep extra-wide-spaced grooves, and short flat-tipped nose. Whoever cast your bullet snipped the casting-sprue off its nose a bit lower down than usual, making your bullet's nose a bit shorter than seen in the bulletmold-seller's photo.
