Well my glorious 6 month road & sidewalk tearouts have come to a end, still making counts and taking pics of for my post on this. Best year detecting cant wait to post! Anyways had to hit some vacant lots and a old field, glad I did. Dont know quite sure what this find is, rang up silver but never seen any coin or medal, token like this before. Someone sure took there time cutting it out. After about 20 pulltabs Found a nice silver ring but sadly its bent bad, hopefully I can reshape it. Also thought I found a nickel, turned it over and found this, any ideas?

the cut out 'coin' is a fake coin. it's a bicentennial souvenir keychain or necklace made to look like a cut out coin. the nickel thing is interesting for sure

That story I think was on the "Mysteries at the Museum" show on TV.

Your half of a nickel is a two part micro SD card holder. They sell on Amazon.com for around $20.00. Hope this helps. Neat finds.

HH and thank you for sharing,

Matt

Cool finds Ray Ray ! I like the tricky nicky -could be a magicians coin - I found a half of a half dollar like that . The ring is nice and it can
easily be rounded out with a ring mandrel and a rawhide mallet !

Thanks Argentium, see if I can round up those or find someone who has them.

Can you post any cleaned-up, close up pics of the liberty bell?
