So after cleaning up my 2 KGII’s I started hacking away at the cruddy green disc I found yesterday. The reverse is basically wiped, but after a little tooth pickery on the obverse I saw the word “Vermont” come through😳 I’m still picking at it and I don’t want to rush now but I think it’s a 1788 RR20 Vermont state copper. I just wish it was in better shape, but I’ll take it!!!!!! Wow what a day!!

Nice find Bob, even better now that you've got a potential I.D. for it.

Damn Bob you bin tarrrring it up!! Well done sir!!

That's awesome!! That's a dream find for me! I live in Vermont and haven't found a VT copper, they are that hard to find! Huge congrats

Vermont, eh? That should never have crossed the state line into MA. I think that invalidates your find :laughing7:

Well done man!

I’ve found jersey, Connecticut, and Vermont, never a Massachusetts, it’s very high on my list. Maybe tomorrow morning

Congrats Dirt. I think VTs are my favorites. Same deal for me! I live in MA, have all those other states but can't manage to put my coil over a MA copper.

Excellent find despite the cruddiness (a new word).

Now that the weather is cooler, will have to go out and hit some of them fields. You can find your $.17 and I’ll find the militia buttons! I was underwater at the lake today but could only tolerate about a half hour. Got a 1906 Indian head cent and a couple of Wheaties before my Garrett Blues broke.

Very nice find! To bad it isn't in better shape, but it is still a winner!

I just saw your other post, what a crazy day! Hope you swing over the silver next time!

Well done, congrats! :icon_thumleft:
