Crown ginger beer bottle

C'mon you metal detector guys. The rim on that neck is shaped to accept a metal bottle-cap. The Crown Top Seal (aka "bottlecap" or "Crown Cork" - name coincidental to Crown Ginger Beer) was patented in 1892 by William Painter.

Pretty awesome bottle, I have only recovered fragments of ceramic beer bottles like that, those fragments were found in 1890's dumps so I have a feeling that is when your bottle is from.
