Thru Ancestry dot com I ordered a DNA kit. It's suppose to go back 100 generations to find out where you are from at least your ethnicity. Part of me is excited, but part of me is scared too. The kit has been sent out already but once I send the DNA sample it takes 6-8 weeks for results. I'm just hoping that what I've been told my whole life is true. There comes a time when we all want to know where we are from. Now is my time. Wish me luck. Oh it wasn't too expensive either it was only $79.00 which I thought was ok, but I hope it's not one of those get what you pay for if you know what I mean. But Ancestry dot com does have a big reputation

I hope and pray you find out what you are looking for!
been trying for many years to prove my native american heritage, but what makes it difficult is my fathers mother who was full Choctaw had no birth records, nor ever a social security number if that even existed then. its hard to prove things when there are no records.
I had read about a type of DNA testing years ago but it was extremely expensive, maybe the test you speak of will help! thank you for sharing that twogreenfeet!

In silent protest of my wife's "trip" she's on I decided to grow a beard. I'm not shaving until she gets back home safely. So once again the grand kids and I were talking about it when the 12 year old said " Grandpa I think I'm going to call you Tally" I said "why?" Where have all the critters been? LOL! I thought surely someone would comment on the cat organ.
I know I been real busy. The Mr just got back home, it's been 5 mnths away. Yeah, there's a big list of things to do.
For me, I'd say cat heaven It just keeps gettin better......
