CRISPINS CRITTERS

Just a few more details that I've left out....

I've smashed at least 3 guitars that wouldn't hold a tune, I've played on stage about 5 times,
been a guest DJ on a rock station in Augusta, GA in the early 80's.....

I've made parts for my guitars like bridges, nuts and machined keys,
and have lost a few guitars to the dreaded pawn broker because of hunger....

Today, I have a sweet Takamine that was a gift from a dear friend
and I play it frequently, adding to the list of songs that I write.
The pawn broker will never get this one!

I have an uncanny ear for pitch and have tuned a piano by ear for a church that I once attended.
I have even restored and tuned a piano that was made in the 20's.

I took a piano course in college back in the late 80's and the final was to play a piece by Bela Bartok....

(not this, but Bela sucks. Don't you agree?

I did OK....think I got a "C"....I'd rather have played my own original composition....)

I guess that you can say I know and love music....

Hope all are Well.

My Best,

Scott

A couple of digital pics from "hard" pics of me in the mid 80's.....

IM004496.JPG

With a SWEET Gibson, lost to the broker....

IM004497.JPG

With a couple from Georgia up to Kansas for my wedding.

The guitar on the right got me into trouble....

My new wife had a crystal bell collection and I was playing that guitar
and hit a note that shattered one of her bells.
In a cabinet....

I was SO IN TROUBLE! For a LONG time.....
maybe even still.....

One of her daughters and her husband would come over. He played drums.
He'd set up and we'd jam!

I remember playing this song....

Last I heard, he died earlier this year....
(he was much younger than me.....)

My Best,

Yeah, I'm good with that..."List of people who enjoy the finer things in life." sounds even better. Everybody put there suggestions in and we will let TH pick which one suites us best.

Crispin
Crispins Crossroads.

A poignant tune about the government and a "breakdown" of society.....

I am STILL not worried.

Bring it, you incompetent bas.tards....

Best,

Scott

Hmmmm....
I missed the memo.....
I'm good with the change.

But, I still feel the same about the government.....

as an outsider I suppose I can still opine. The thread will make no sense if you change the name. And why a need for appointed positions if it's just a group of like minded folks who like music and life? Doesn't that describe most people?

Ladies, and Gents, I would now like to list the evenings edibles. Tonight we travel to Sanibel Island, home of author R.W White's,"Doc Fords Sanibel Rum Bar and Grille."( One of me tthree favorite stops in South Fla. ,the others will follow)

Tonights cocktail: " Doc Fords Island Mojito"

2 oz. soda water
1.5 oz. soda water, or simple syrup
4 sprigs fresh mint
3 oz. rum
fresh squeezed juice of half a lime

muddle mint, soda water and simple syrup, add ice, then rum, cover, shake and serve

and for dinner......Conch chowder

1 lb. conch meat
2 lg. carrots
1 lg. red onion
4 stalks celery
1(14.5oz.)can stewed tomatoes
1 16 oz. can V8 juice
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. dried basel
1 tsp. dried thyme
1 tsp. hot sauce
2 lg. potatoes, diced

In a food processor, using a steel blade chop the conch, carrots, onion, celery, very finely in batches. Add tomatoes and V8 juice and all the seasonings. Simmer for one hour, then add potatoes and continue cooking until the potatoes are tender. Serve with hard crusty bread. Enjoy , and be back later. Gary

Woo Hoo!

I've already found a 1998 Wide AM and a 2009 "Formative Years" error!

An "extra thumb" error.
Not real valuable but cool!

And I've only searched through a couple of hundred so far....

I received an email from the College this past week to wit:

Hello. My name is Anjana and I teach psychology here at UNG. I've been asked by the Hall Co Solicitor if there is a student that would like to work with a young man who has been out of school for some time. Your name was suggested by Shelly Aikman and Connie Ringger. The work would likely include mentoring, some academic assistance, and basic socialization before the student returns to school in the fall. Please read the email below from Stephanie Woodard, the Solicitor General, and contact me if you would like to volunteer for this.

(I have redacted certain parts due to professional confidentiality.)

This seems to be what I am going to college to accomplish, yet, I have reservations...

I would like to hear my Friends from here at Treasurenet give their
ideas and opinions....

Best,

Scott

A song that has been playing through my mind all day; I don't know why....

Thinking of the last tune by TOTO that I posted
makes me think of my College webpage, and upon looking, I see that I had to replace a song....
(Hold The Line)

Here, take a look for yourself....

africa Coins

Best,

Scott

PS.

I see that several song links have now become "broken."

Guess what I'm going to be doing tonight....

Anyone want a link?

PSS.
Remember, it's a chore to write HTML....
Even THIS page!
Just "right-click" on any web page and then click on "view source."

THAT'S HTML!
