CRISPINS CRITTERS

I do see what you mean, Jeff used to tell me almost every time I spoke to him that I was supposed to get his land if something happened to him. He never got around to getting a will done. I ended up buying his land from his dad, at a discount though. One of my boys will get it at some point.

Like you I came from extreme poverty, working hard and staying focused and responsible can definitely lift anyone out of poverty in our country. Always seems someone is trying to take it away though...

Wow I too came from poverty. Foster care.....Homeless at 16.......damn them all, I made it!!!!!!!

The clock ticks loudly of my need to move.
I have expanded my options to include: Florida, Tennessee, North and South Carolina and other locations that a transfer is possible.

Anyone have info of where I might land?

Scott

Ya. You'll land...Nimbly , on your feet!

The state that would appeal more to me , certainly may not to you. (It rhymes with Hennessy.l.o.l.) But that's a geographic and clime related appeal that may fade on certain wrong sites after looking for "the site", once recon was finished.. Transplanting my partially frozen carcass to a much warmer clime any more might create cracks where they don't belong...But then , couldn't a body get used to a South sea clime too? Ha!

The world (or certain areas of it) is/are your oyster at the moment...Make it Scott's as a choice.

As I was moving a jack to a location to be charged, I saw a "Lumper*" pulling a jack in to be charged backwards.
A serious safety violation!
I said, "Hey, Guy, don't pull a jack in to charge like that."

He mumbled something to me.

Big mistake.

Several co-workers were present, aghast of what was next....

I went to him and got RIGHT in his face and said, "You got something on your mind? WTF did you just say to me?"

Folks, I'm nearly 60 years old. This kid was barely 20.
Place your bets.....

He suddenly got small and said, "Thank you."

I'm tired of babysitting the jackasses who damage my jacks and will certainly get in their face whenever I need to.
Today I had to change 3 drive tires and help a co-worker install a lower drive unit.

I have no time to deal with ignorance....

You got an issue? I'll solve it, Dig?

Scott

* Lumper=A member of contracted labor through the company who uses our equipment and doesn't give a damn about the jacks that make them money.

Sent out 7-8 emails to local realtors this morning inquiring about "For Sale," to wit:

Greetings!

I am looking for property consisting of a house, preferably a “fixer-upper” on a small tract of land.
I am an experienced and skilled construction and remodeling expert.

My price range is mid 5 figures and have at least 10% cash down. I would be willing to work with owners on payments.

I am looking for property in the Hall, White and Lumpkin County areas.
I need to relocate as soon as possible.
If you have something similar to this or know of a lead, Please do not hesitate to contact me.
My phone number is:678-xxx-xxxx. Or you can reach me via email.

Thank you for your response.

Best Wishes,

Scott Xxxxxx

I have already received several replies.
I'd really just as soon stay in the area, close to my beloved North Georgia Mountains!

Hope all are enjoying their Weekend!

Best Wishes,

Scott

While searching for something else in my box of memories, I stumbled upon this post card that I've had for many years....

IMG_2732.JPG

Y'all know Scotty's magic could work on this!
How much land is included?
Mountains?

Although some may find humor in the postcard, Scotty sees potential....

Perhaps I've related the story of living in a dilapidated house once before....
If so, grant me the option of relating once again.

Not too long ago in the past, I agreed to work on a house that was vacant for about 20 years.
In exchange, I could live there.
It was either that or I was homeless....

Anyway, I began with working on the roof, fixing leaks.
Then I worked on wiring, electrical, structural and plumbing issues.
Using mostly my own materials.
Soon, I had power for a refrigerator for my food.

Next was putting in missing doors and windows.

Mind you, this was all in the Fall.
Showers and hair washing was performed at an outside spigot....Brrr...

One morning, after dreaming of my beloved cat, Otis, I woke up cuddled with a possum!

Yeah, I installed doors the next day.

I soon installed windows and began sheetrock after insulation.

Then, one day, I was told that I had to leave.
Really?

I got your ass this close and now you tell me to leave?

This time, no one will tell me to leave.
DIG!

And once again, I found myself responsible for my situation.
Through my hard work, diligence and perseverance, I found myself once again able to better my position!
Soon, I found a well paying job, enrolled in College, earned a Degree and haven't looked back.

Suck the tit of Government, you Free-loading Libtards.
It is only the generation of those who know work that understand today's politics.

Best,

Scott

Just called one of the Vets that I mentor.
He had told me that he collects coins also.
I said that I'd meet him tomorrow to discuss possible coin swaps and buy him lunch.
I also said that he, I and the rest of our "gang" need to get together for a fishing trip.
He said that was a wonderful idea.
He also said, "Let's call it fishing and not catching!"
I couldn't help myself from laughing!
How can one Veteran not love another more than a brother who would give their life for them?

Best,

Scott

I wish! I do have the last 20+ years of Carvin catalogs....
They are made in the USA, unlimeted color/wood options. Any tremolo you want inlays, fretboard radius..
No I don't... too damn spendy!
If I did I wouldn't sell... 'cept to you brother Scotty..

Speaking of Styx,
The Director of HR where I work is a Cousin of Dennis DeYoung!

We get along great.
She even has my personal phone number if she needs me for anything work related.
I've responded to her for many issues.....

Small world, huh?

Perhaps you remember Tommy's debut with Styx?
A little know album called, "Crystal Ball."

Yeah, I have the album....

And, as a bonus, I present the inner sleeve.

My album collection is varied and valuable.
I do not post songs frivolously nor do I post songs without meaning.
All one has to do is LISTEN to the words....

As I pour my 10th shot of Cuervo Silver.....
Y'all try to keep up, hear?
Looks like your shot is next.....
And, just a reminder...
Don't drink and drive.
You might spill it and that is alcohol abuse.....
Really.
I don't drive when I drink.
I stay home.
I've never been arrested for falling down drunk in my living room. :tongue3:
