Things are warming up. I usually get the bug to get out in the afternoons. My oldest son has been going with me lately and we are having a lot of fun finding mostly junk. Finding local things is towards the top of my list. This stuff is from the past few days. Historically 24 million Troy ounces were mined here, more than the California and Alaska rushes combined. Cripple Creek is the neighboring town to mine, and it's always nice to add to the collection! I find quite a few locks but don't recognize this one. Let me know if you know what it is. I'll tumble it later. The stirrup is a kids size!!! You can't quite see it in the first picture but there is a miners candle holder there! Getting out is what's it's about! I hope you all get out before the grass gets in your way.
