Creek Finds 12-19-15 there's always pottery

Found these in the same sand bar as the last one and thinking it's a new pottery honey hole :laughing7: When I first saw a little of the gray of the stone I thought it was something real special and it looks like it's been flaked off of, I think it's Argillite but not sure on stone types. Might post in the rock forum later. Looking like a good start on Christmas week vacation. Thanks for looking! HH

Looks like that floated around in creek for a long time amazing the piece with the nice designs was that good.

There as to be some stone artifacts in that creek due to the pottery you are finding. They may just be a lot deeper, good finds.

At least they are still popping for you.

One of those little hills next to the creek likely holds a camp site. Nice pottery

That's what I'm thinking. Due to impending rain and my back is hurting I didn't go up that way but stayed downstream and raked around one side of the bank and look at the piece of flint I found today. Creek Spirit is such a tease and driving me crazy! Almost all the stone stuff I find is in the bank and I have to dig it to get it. Very frustrating :icon_scratch:

Those flakes are very nice material. Ooooh u have some beautiful stone tools beneath the surface!...somewhere. No worries though. Not worth breaking a back over. Happy holidays Peaches & continued good luck!

Yes and I'm real happy about that. I only had an hour in that spot today and found another one.

You know it took me almost 1.5 years to discover where the trash pit was at. Keep looking mine was a hump.
