From a recent outing the first item featured in the two pictures looks to have had a pin running through it and is hand rather than machine made.
The other curly thing obviously snapped off but from what I'm not sure. Maybe a watch winder or even a dainty little tea spoon?

I got something similar, I got two halves but no indication of a pin in the middle
