Yah, at first I was thinking someone just shoved it into a 7-sided barrel. Looked like they rammed it pretty hard! Now, i'm just not sure what going on with it. It's definately different.

What is the thing in the first top row, second to the right? I found one in a corn field not long ago. Great finds...love the lead. It's so pretty coming out of the ground!

Ramrodded to Death!! Nice dig's JRS

Matt, second "from" the right is a rivet. These were used on different leatherworks and can be found in various sizes. I dig them often on old camp sites. They ring up sweet.

the british had a weird rifle that used a different type of rifling. whitworth ?

Well, if it was a whitworth rifle, it was still a 3-ring bullet crammed into it.lol
Looking at a few fired whitworth bullets, they just don't look the same as mine, but they were actually "whitworth" bullets.

Now thats how they get the lead out in Kansas! Great job JRS!

Interesting projectiles!! :icon_thumright:

I am very interested in that one bullet there. Very different.
