I entered a group of 3 Caribbean Red Habaneras in our county fair competition. They hadn’t turned red yet, but we’re large, healthy and very similar size. They won 1st place in their Hot Pepper division and Best in Class for all peppers. Only one item finished higher for the Overall Garden Item category. This was my first try at entering anything. I have some of my carvings entered for the Fine Art competition on Thursday. Thanks for looking.

Congrats! I used to take my pigeons to the county fair when I was a kid. I still have all my ribbons. You’re carrying on a very old tradition. And after the fair is over, you can take your detector there and get even more rewards!

I actually asked about joining the team that volunteers to run the fair. I want to help clean up the grounds after it is over. 👍🏼

Congrats on your win of 1st place.
We went to the local fair last year it's been running now for 193 yrs
But will add that the level of quality has wained a whole lot from previous times.
The exhibits that are entered pales to what photos show in previous times.
