Finally hit a spot in the park woods that is at the intersection of a couple deep rutted lost dirt roads. Figured the 10 minute additional hike was worth it since I have a back up spot nearby in case it was a bust. No visible occupation from any of my maps or aerials, just a hunch from the lidar images. Obviously after 3 hours of swinging, the spot is loaded with targets. A bunch of wheats, no clad and no beer cans have me thinking occupation from 1900-1950 or so.

The large heavy disks rang up as 20-21 on the Nox. Thought they were some kind of lead token or cap in the woods. Pretty surprised when I cleaned them up. I think they are definitely pewter counterfeit Peace Dollars. I was not able to find anything on the web about these. The one pic with the actual silver dollar was found 2 miles away last year.

The dog or horse engraving on the pocket watch case is pretty cool. I think the larger bottle is an ink container? If so my first and of course all new old sites in W PA are loaded with spoons… thx!

Good job! I think it's really intriguing to find not 1 but 2 counterfeit coins there. Makes you wonder what was going on at that spot.
Yeah, I definitely wonder what was going on at this spot. Seems like typical old homesite drops, but no record from my research there for a home. If I find the mold for the Peace Dollar, we’ll know…

Man you killed it there! Congratulations

Wow !! If I found a spot that was giving up so much amazin stuff I would buy a cheap tent and spend some serious hours and days digging non stop except to take a brief nap and grab something to eat So many really one of a kind items The coins real or not the pocket watch the numerous brass pieces. And so much more to still be uncovered Thanks for posting and keep sending more pictures as you continue to dig .

Thx! I got another hour in on Friday, hopefully hit it one more time this weekend and post up the additional finds.
