Found this one a while back , Yet never did get a possitive I.D. any help would be great :help: ;D

the back mark is "WIEN" A crest on top and a W on the left side of the shank and a roman #2 on the right. the roman 2

could be a "H" ? :thumbsup:

No S , but i did find a simular back mark on this 1800's Iran/Austria button thats selling for $150.

I think if I can get the Crown Identified , Then the problem would be solved :icon_scratch: :help:

That looks very close. Can we see the link?

Hardy, can you get a better pic of the back? The initials look different.

I dont think its Generic Crusader , it was found at a old Military camp that was used for the past 200 yrs until 1920

I agree with Crusader, the crown is a generic design. It looks theatrical if anything.

I agree Iron Spike , That back mark is not all that easy to find listed and its history of the Company , Who they made buttons for

and types made. Before WW1 some guys that joined Malitia units had uniforms made with their own out of pocket expences and

this could be a civilian button used for that purpose , the area that this button was found was used for training troops. Civilian

button ? Maybe , but info on the manufacture company would be great ;D

Why is this case closed simply because RC Cola has a crown in their logo? Did they make buttons, too? Maybe I'm missing something. :dontknow:
