I found this out detecting about a week ago and just thought it might be a hotrock but it had a shine to it and seemed to be heavier as well. I,ve had it on my desk since. Tonight I put a magnet to it and the magnet stuck to it big time. I looked at it through a loop and it looks metallic. If it hits the light just right it has a brilliant shine. If it was a meteorite wouldn't it tarnish. I could not get a good pic but I included them anyway. Thank you in advance.
