The oldest house in town is only a half mile from my house and there are hundreds of acres of corn and hay fields. Even though it was raining pretty heavily this morning I just couldn't stop thinking about a corn field I found a few kglll last fall. For some reason I forgot about this field until I was going through my notes and seen something I wrote about the British being there in 1773 and the local militia practicing in the area before the battle at Bennington VT. When I got there I could see all the corn had been cut but the grass was really tall so it was a bit rough but did manage a few keepers. Hopefully in the spring I can get back when it gets plowed and find some older relics and possibly something related to the revolutionary way.
2 no date LC and a 1843 LC. A few indian heads a 1942 merc and a wheat penny. A few buckles, round balls, and buttons. Two watch winder keys, at least one of them is. Not sure about the bigger one. What looks like a piece from a drawer pull and a John Tyler Cracker Jack token. Oh and a 14 k ring! Happy hunting
