Cops - they are their own worst enemy

All things have other causes. He may have been being a pita inside , or have done something that marked him forattention, and we cant hear his mouth running in the vidio. Have you ever been a cop? I agree that the retribution was caried out too harshly and without care. Bob
 

ummm the victim was seen skipping moments before being attacked that is hardly the person to mouth off at cops. The video in my opinion shows the police not protecting and serving the public but instead clearly illustrates thuggery reminiscent of the civil rights movement. Apparently they are more enlighten now......you don't have to be black to be violated.
 

From the video, it doesn't show any wrong doing excepts on the cops end. But like LoneSomeBob said. There could be more to it than that, but still the guy was unarmed and the type of force the police used was way too aggressive in my opinion. Now had the guy been showing throwing rocks or other objects at the police, that would be a different story. Guess the guy will end up getting a good chunk of money out of this one!

Never had to be black to be violated in the first place. Cops have been beating the hell out of all kinds of people for eons. Most folks deserved it including many of those in the "civil rights movement" :o... Looks like it's time for you to drop the 40-50 year old chip on your shoulder :dontknow:..
 

they should be fired at the least.......wearing a uniform doesn't give you the right to do what you like in the name of crowd control....
in europe the police have more experience of volitile situations involving rival sets of fans that would almost kill each other if they could,but if they went in like this ,they would find themselves in deep trouble with those thugs...........to me these college kids looked to be having fun,some high jinx but pretty innocent..and it was badly handled.
 

Well, I have been through two police academies, and done this job.

None of the behavior I have seen here is necessary at all, and the way the situation was handled with the 87 year old elderly woman, in my opinion that was totally unwarranted, and totally assinine. Don't get me wrong, if the 87 year old woman would have turned around with a pistol in her hand it's a totally different story, and probably a very bad outcome.

An absolute total professional disrespect for others is all I saw.
 

You know after watching the other videos, it makes you wonder how many more cases like that happens that doesn't get exposures. I think every police car should have video cameras, but not all of them do. Most of the police offcers that commit these type of acts and crimes usually get a slap on hte wrist. I think they should have their Peace Officers License revoked and thrown in the slammer for 10 years for first offense. One of my former team-mates has been a police officer for 8 years in Sunrise, AZ. He had worked for Pheonix PD for about almost 2 years, him and his partner said there was so much corruption in the department, including the Chief, they we basically told to play the game, resign, quit, or get fired. They decided it would be best to find another department and both of them went to Sunrise PD.

My former team mate and his partner is strickly by the book and hates crooked cops. He said the Chief and the other officers in Sunrise are some good honest cops. I met a few of them and I know what he says is true.

But actions like that in the videos that goes on, has a lot of people distrust any police officer!
 

the only person this old lady was a danger too was herself!! i don't think seen a more over the top piece of law enforcement ,not long ago didn't a 10 yr old kid get maced!......this all down to training or lack of it. i'm sure theres plenty of police shaking there heads in digust at those vids of their comrades doing what can only be described as a very bad job in dealing with minor incidents in a brutal and heavy handed fashion.
i agree use technology to prove that arrests are done properly and legally.
 

I watched the old Lady one first, she had a blade in her hand - there is no excuse though, for the way she was taken down.
Then I watched the first one - if that is "For real!" and not a spoof, I'll eat my hat :icon_jokercolor:
I know our Cops in NZ are subject to DumbHeads too, at any level, but they are few and far between.

Why does someone get the death sentence for killing a police officer? I think that should be used for people who kill innocent civilians! The police in America have raised themselves above the law. Most are bullies, because if you stand up to them they plant evidence on you and throw you under the jail. The judges almost allways take the police side. Just more tyranny being heaped on the American people. When I was a child I was told if I got lost to find a policeman. I do not tell my children that.

I can't believe these kind of statements. It makes me sick when people talk like this. It's as ridiculous as someone saying ALL black people are bad because the ghetto has a high number of crackheads.

There are good and bad people in EVERY walk of life. Good cops, bad cops. Good priests, bad priests. Good parents and bad ones. I can go on and on. The MAJORITY of law enforcement are honest hard working people. They risk their lives every single day with little or no thanks from an abusive society. 842 cops have been killed in the past five years serving a society that only caters to the rights of criminals while throwing their victims to the wolves. All you people who are constant cop bashers, I guarantee when sh*t hits the fan, you don't have a problem calling the cops to help you! Do you really think there are more bad cops now than ever or is it that it just gets publicized more? There's always going to be some jerk cop making the others look bad and trust me, they are not well liked by their co workers.

I am not a police basher! I just know that cops are only one part of the justice system. I get my experience from the real world, not watching batman.

Yeah, well maybe your experience isn't from being on the right side of the law. I'm just sayin.

My experience with law enforcement isn't from watching Batman, I just thought it was an appropriate quote for the times. And I have been married to a cop for 17 years. I know many many cops and none of them are as you portray them. I think it's funny though, I bet you've failed a lot of attitude tests LOL.
 

So you are a cop groupie. I understand better now. Those who can not worship those who do. Except for traffic violations I am a productive law abiding citizen. When you allow a group to be above the law it is only a matter of time before they abuse the power. If I hit someone with a stick five times, I would be charged with felonious assault and be sentenced to 2-10 years in prison. What were the police officers charged with? If police are not held to the same laws as the people that is tyranny!

First off, I'm no cop groupie. Just because I am married to a cop doesn't mean I wish I was one. No thank you, I wouldn't want that job.

I agree with you on this. I see it happening in all aspects of government right on up to the president of the US. I'm just saying that just because we see plastered on tv some a$$hole cop committing an injustice, doesn't mean all cops are like that.

Actually, serious studies have put the rate at between 15 & 30% 'bad cop' here in Canada, depending on location. No, that's not even a majority, but it's still too many.
 

While going into my 14th year in law enforcement it hurts to see officers who abuse authority. I have never had a single physical confrontation and never had to strike an offender. I spent a long time developing verbal skills rather than being physically aggressive. Like many careers, there are good and bad in all of them. Doctors, lawyers, mechanics, truckers, you name it and there are a mix of good and evil. Sadly we are all under the microscope every day, those of us who fight for the public's safety with the intention of being honest, hardworking and willing to risk our lives when and if the time comes. I have heard it all....there's never a cop around when you need one. Dont give up on the police....we are not all like those caught on video.
