This could deserve a banner! [emoji106]

I know banners go to recent finds, but I don't quite understand why a mere 2 months ago is not good enough to qualify for banner. It's certainly recent, rare, and even rarer with the decorative elements present on the blade. So, I am voting banner anyway......

Some finds aren't fully researched for months. I see people post all the time "will be banner if confirmed." Sometimes the confirmation takes time, two months isn't that long in my opinion.

I see you have some points made of Prairie Du Chien and perhaps heat treated Burlington chert. Never found even a part of a drill to date. I have a few pieces of these materials but mostly Hixton sugar quartz. Nice finds.

rac7658, when other members mentioned the inscribed dashes on your point, I adjusted the contrast on your photo so they could be seen more clearly (hope you don't mind).

Now that I see the inscribed "dashes", your point is MORE than incredible. If possible, I would love to see (I'm sure others would too) a better photo under controled lighting conditions.
Also, when you mentioned you received a purchase offer for this piece, I would recommend taking a deep breath and letting some time pass before you decide. . . (just my opinion)

watercolor is offering great advice here: if you decide to sell, that's your decision. But don't rush into a it. Find the right buyer at your price. It's not going down in value any time soon. I'm certainly glad I didn't sell my Clovis to the first bidder, even though it seemed like a lot of money.
Also, I've only sold three non jewelry finds, and I regret parting with each.

Also, I cast my banner vote. In my nomination message, I explained my reasoning why I believe this find, even though not super recent, was recent enough based on the time needed to determine its authenticity and significance.
