Got up early to beat the heat, still tired and not paying attention I drove to my hunt site. changed my coils and turned on my detector... NOTHING.. scared me for a second and then I realized I had my battery on the charger at home and forgot it, got BACK in the truck, drove home, got my battery and now its ON!
I used my 5 inch coil to hunt around a small wall with iron in it and a fence area, only pulled out a wheat... put on my large coil and started working an area I havent hunted much, I came into an area that was had a lot of trash, I slowly started working it and after a few minutes I found the beat up, 1864 Indian head, few minutes later I found another wheatie and then another... I could tell I was starting to get on the outside edge of the trash because signals were starting to get slim then I got a solid 12-46 at about 7 inches deep, thinking I might have a silver quarter I took my time and was careful, Pulled it out of the hole and knew it wasnt a silver coin, maybe a token? maybe a l.c.? I stuck it in my pocket and cleaned it up when I got home.. my 3rd L.C. for the year.
I hunted for about another half an hour but once sweat was at a constant drip I figured it was time to call it a day!
