I was just driven out of the bush by the bugs but I had a pretty good day. Two different locations....lots of coolness.

Copper Culture fish spear/harpoon and a piece of trade copper.

I assume this is a ram rod tip thing...not a pencil.

Cool clay pipe bowl with trade bead in it.

I found about a dozen trade beads including this one.

Wonderful, thank you for posting the additional pictures!

What is the length? 16cm-17cm/~6.5in? It's truly an impressive point, most barbed harpoon tips I've seen are rather smaller and harpoons in general seem more scarce than normal edged/lanceolate points. What an awesome find! :occasion14:

Yes sir 6 3/4 inches long....good guess

1000% sure.....maybe a little more.

Upon re reading your original post I see where you stated that :/... guess I missed that.

Anyway... either a rod or bolt.

here are a couple of pics of rods that MAY be in the realm... could be flattened tip bolt but ?

Cleaning that tip real quick may shed a little more light.

Wow! Looks like you have a great spot to hunt. Keep at it. Thatโ€™s a cool looking pipe and Iโ€™m voting banner on the barbed tip harpoon. Congrats

All the dirt and stuff came off....she's beautiful! Thanks for the Banner votes.

Once again. This relic belongs in the banner section. I really hope it gets there. Hopefully everyone realizes how old this harpoon is. This man made copper relic is crazy old even in European standards.
