Got out after dinner tonight and hunted the school up the street . This one was a great place to hunt in the 1990's , lots of silver jewelry and one gold found . Now not much left to dig . It still gave up a couple of nice finds tonight  . The first one is a small sterling silver pendent with a broken chain . I think it's Arabic ??? . The 2nd good find is one of the coolest junk rings I have ever found  . It's a shark head :laughing7: . Just slip it on and watch your finger get bit off :laughing7: . Well it's #75 ring for the year .

Pl8man what do you use to dig with?

id like to know as well. I use one of those half sized shovels but I think they are more suited for my woods and fields adventures. There are too many targets in the parks. Hand shovels do not hold up for me well. I probably need one of the Garrett digger tools. The name of the tool eludes me right now. By the end of the day using the half shovel my low back is in a lot of pain! I'm 23 that shouldn't be happening! Haha

Dang Glen, you must have terribly abrasive soil there, mine has never worn out from use yet! But I do use a 6 inch 5/16 bladed screwdriver a lots more lately, it makes for quick digging on shallow items, also can deal with some of the grass with the extremely tough roots that I do not wish to kill off by cutting the roots.

That is a pretty cool ring!

Thanks mate,
The ground over here in most parks is hard as hogs and so many trash and false targets

Your shark ring is hilarious! :laughing7: :hello2: In April on beach I dug main part of a broken junk octopus ring, just missing the ends of the tentacles that wrap around back of finger. It's not worth anything but one of my fave finds, very funny little octopus. Glad you dug the entire shark! :cat: Andi
