Got this pic today without any additional info depending size, weight, nor i got more pics other than this one. The decorated round piece is the cap of the cone shaped part.
I am completely lost what it can be.... Whatever it is it has a 19th C. look to me....
Any ideas?

I'm wondering if this is part of a sconce. If so, oil would be poured in and then absorbed into the clay part of the fixture. Which would then provide for extended light when lit. Since it would be mounted high on a wall, a way of extinguishing it, such as the plunger would be needed.

Just food for thought. This one is a puzzler.
