Hey folks!

Got out to my 1886 permission one last time before the storm of the decade hits Seattle. Lots of snow in the forecast.

No Morgan today but I did manage one neat find:

The token is to "The Grand" saloon in Everett (town about 30 minutes north of Seattle) and has the proprietor's name on it - "CC Cushen". He was only the proprietor in 1904 so this token dates to that time period. Really cool!

Here's a bit more about a similar token. You can see it's to the same saloon but the token listed on that website is slightly different than mine. Maybe IdahoTokens can shed some light on the varieties?

Here are a couple other neat bits I found. The metal die is a first for me:

Thanks for looking and happy hunting all!

Super cool. I love finding tokens. I have only found 3 in Wa so far.

Thank you! This is only my second trade token. Found my first last month. My brother found 3 in Idaho when we were hunting together last Year.

Man congratulations I love Tokens especially local tokens.

Thanks T, agreed. There is something so interesting about the personalization vs. just another coin. I’m much happier with this than a 1904 V nickel.

That is a neat find. Good job.

Great token I would rather have those than silver coins just me Well done on a cool piece of history

Cool token! Everything you found is interesting. Nice job!

Eric--is the one on tokencatalog the one you say is different than yours? If so, what is the difference? I don't see it. Erickson's WA Trade Tokens book shows it as Rarity 7 (9-11 known). Apparently the guy moved to Coupeville, drilled a hole in all the tokens he had on hand, and continued using them there.

Thanks John! For some reason I was only able to find the tokens with the crescent drilled through the middle on my previous searches. Your new link is helpful. I really appreciate it, you are the man!
