These are from the original collection but was wondering what they are???
Wanted to pull them out and take photos of them individually.... didn't know how to add the pics to the original post.
Any help would be appreciated!!!

The "coin" like piece has four holes in it. Has some sort of foreign writing on one side and a flower and the same writing on the other side. It is about the size of a nickel.

The other piece that is like some sort of medallion or something has "HALL" & "PACKERS" in a typeset writing from what we can make. There appears to be other writing above it and perhaps below. The other side has some strange writing... "10Z" "117" carved in it (It is about the size of a quarter) It also seems to be adhered together somehow (not one solid piece) BUT it is some sort of metal.

Thanks

The top item appears to be a lead bale seal bearing the mark of "Holmes, Hall & Co., Packers," a firm listed at "9, Crosby Sq., Bishopsgate within" in Kent's Directory for the Year 1794. Cities of London and Westminster, & Borough of Southwark [England].

I believe the second item is indeed a coin which has been holed for some decorative or functional purpose, possibly from India, but I don't recognize it offhand.

I keep thinking the second is Indian (India) early 20th centry... machine stamped token.

I agree with PBK of course - not to is suicide... :tongue3:

Still looking... :icon_scratch:

The second coin looks like an Islamic or Arabic coin. Possibly a dirham. But there are eleventy buzillion varieties of these coins over the centuries. Sorry I can't be more specific.

PBK is correct (as always) on the lead bale seals.
