Today I searched my first street project for the year. Pretty slow going. Only found 2 coins, and are in really poor condition. Don't know what the copper coin is, but the little one with the hole in it is a Bust 1/2 dime. (I think it is 1835). They haven't really got going on the project yet, so I'll have to go back.
The half dime was found about in the middle of the picture under a little sand.

Hi! Can't tell you what the copper is cause I lost my coin book, but I'm pretty sure it's a state copper like Mass, Connecticut, or New Jersey. Not sure though. Sweet finds although condition isn't the best. I'd spend a lot more time there and see what you can come up with. HH Matt

Hey mattjd,
I looked up some coppers in an old red book that I have, and the reverse is exactly like a Connecticut copper. The obverse is slightly different than the ones pictured. I'll try and post both the obverse and reverse later.

Nice digs!

Hope you find more there!

Here is a pic of the obverse and reverse of the "copper".
