Got out this past weekend on a club hunt. Zero coins or good finds after almost five hours. Then funally a good signal. I was happy to see a large copper coin. Thought it was a George, but after a little closer look, the dirt was loose and fell off, I saw "Auctori Connec". Not a George but a Connecticut Copper, and very good detail. Not my usual copper. I was please to have only one coin for 7 hours of detecting.

Any one with a good contact or place for me to get this typed let me know.

Fantastic looking copper, good job! :icon_thumright: wish we could find something like that here in N.W.Georgia. :BangHead: Oh well we'll keep on plugging away.

It was nice to see such details on a copper. That is not the norm on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Farmers were not afraid of using fertilizer on their fields. This small field did not appear heavily fertilized as a lot of the finds were in good shape. Just not as old as the copper.
