On Friday we went to the local museum to meet the Local FLO to collect some finds that we had taken in to be logged on the Portable Antiques Scheme that operates here in the uk https://finds.org.uk/database/artefacts/record/id/1132458

So have added pictures taken from the web site giving details of the finds…, I suppose I should go thru my previous Todays Finds posts and update them…. but…. im taking the easier option! 😆 xx

You must be feeling like a 🦋 after getting such a detailed write up on each piece.
It sure adds a next level of special to every single one.
Congratulations on your awesome recoveries/photos.

BTW
(Just to let you know TNet has a sub forum called "What is it") 😉

Thanks Peps, yes, it’s super awesome to be able have this, can’t wait to get the next lot back… I think we blew her mind taking 50 plus in, now to start prepping for the next visit in Jan! 😎 xx

Outstanding
Congratulations on your fantastic achievements
Thanks again for sharing the beautiful details

Fascinating information about all those articles! It is wonderful to have the attitude and system for dealing with your finds in England. Something similar could be such a useful resource in the former colonies by the Atlantic shore! Your system is encouraging metal detectorists, treating them with respect and building a database that will be valuable to historians and for general knowledge of your past that would be lacking otherwise.

Spotted a couple of mistakes;

'Stud' is an Iron Age Toggle, similar;
'Spur' is part of a Gag Loop (harness equipment)
'Bracelet' is part of a Georgian shoe buckle
