Confederate States of America!
Went out this afternoon with Marinedad to a local park. Due to the hard ground most of the signals are shallow but I got a screaming signal showing 7 inches deep. It was tough digging but when I saw the date of 1861 and the large size it was well worth it. It was goldish in color and bigger than a half dollar and it said, "Confederate States of America". I thought I was going to faint! I flipped it over and it says, "CSA" , 20 Dollars! I cannot believe it. I wipe it off very carefully with a soft cloth and underneath the word "dollars" I see the word "copy". Now I feel sick. Oh well, it is very neat and maybe the copy has a value. I think it is old but not sure how old. My heart is now beating normal again. Anyway, I ended up with 45 clad coins totaling $4.96 and one Wheatie. Happy hunting!
