The Script I was my first find of the day. I found it near where I recovered the NC Sunburst last week. I had to put the GPX in "cancel" mode due to all the EMI from the pasture fence so I was concerned I wouldn't hear anything that I hadn't already detected with the T2. So much for that theory :laughing7:

The bullets were all packed together in a small area no more than 12 feet in diameter. The first two (from left to right) were actually in the same hole. Today was the first time I'd ever encountered such a thing.

Happy Hunting,
Jim

sweet button. hope it cleans up well

Nice haul. Good to see treasure coming out of the NC soil. GL&HH.

Sweet bullets! I want ONE just one and ill b a happy man!

Congrats

Nice find man...you do know that it is a manuscript I and not a script I. It is also a floating shank, betting the backmark is P. Tait and Limmerick. Killer button with a great history as the majority came through the blockade at Wilmington...it is also the first CW button I ever dug!

Well done bud!

Awesome finds Jim, Thanks for posting. You are amassing quite a collection of Confed relics from that site.

Man - what an EXCELLENT button! hat's off to ya . . .

Thanks as always for the awesome info and encouragement, Dan. Unfortunately, no back mark is legible on the button but the floating shank is still intact. I'll post a pic when I have time to do it right. I've now identified a concentration of CS relics at that site that I hope to scour a bit more with the GPX. If that is the first CW button you ever dug, all I can say is you better be nice to your Dad ;) Give me a holler next time you're out here.

Jim

Thanks Glenn. Let's do lunch week after next and plan our next hunt.
