Got out a little on Memorial Day and dug some civil war bullets. Maybe it’s just me but I can’t explain the feeling when stuff like this pops out of the hole. You get to touch something that was left behind 147 years ago. How did it get there? Who was the person that left it? What was going on at that moment? Too bad I have to work for a living or I’d be out detecting somewhere right now….God Bless….Mike

Great finds from intresting site. Get back hunting that battlefield :icon_thumleft:! Looks like CS Gardner bullets :read2:.

No Mike, it's not just you :icon_thumleft: it's a wonder that many of us get, and it's GREAT! What I don't get is the people that DON'T get it! Great finds and wishing you many many more of that belly feeling when you find these story telling wonders....good for you! :hello2:

Nice relics from a historic site. Must be a wet area or on a steep place due to the gray patina on some of the bullets. Get back out there and find more. HH, Quindy.

I can only imagine what it must be like.....some day I hope to be in a situation / location to uncover one. It's like you said, who dropped it? What where they doing? What has it seen or been a part of? Really cool stuff. You ever need a detecting buddy, Hanover isn't that far, lol.

I had one side of the family at Gettysburg the other in Virginia and here in Chattanooga. We used to pluck those bullets up like there was no tomorrow. Now each one is special as history unfolds.
Nice finds
