Comstock German Silver Belt Buckle

I found this in a safe that had been sitting for about 20+ years. I could not find anything about this buckle, but it looks nice. Any info would be helpful.

That is too cool. Looks like a custom piece with a 1897 Morgan Silver Dollar. Congrats!
 

Google is your friend. If you can get here you can google your buckle. If you punch in "comstock belt buckle" you will find pages and pages about them. They are famous for their sterling silver and 14K buckles, don't know why yours is nickel/copper (German silver) with a nice silver dollar in it, maybe they made for them lower end stuff too. I think a thorough google search will give you a good ID and maybe even value.

not my type of apparel. personally, I'd take the coin out and chunk the buckle but that's just me
