OK, I'm really stumped here. We bought these at an estate sale on a whim. I was going to post in the Collectors Forums\Antiques & Collectibles\Scientific Instruments forum, but there's only been four threads, and a total of six posts, there in six years, so I came here instead.

It's two little vials of pivot points. One vial is dated 1961 and from Summit, NJ, the other is dated 1947.

In a directional compass, they're thing that the compass needle spins on so the needle can point north.

No searching that I've done has found anything similar to put a value on them.

Anyone?

Thanks :)

I could not find much of anything either! I would recommend contacting companies that sell antique magnetic compasses as they may know who you can sell them to or they may even want them. Surely there is a market for these since some folks collect compasses and may need to restore some of their' older compasses. Good luck!
