Its numismatic value is worthless, but it means the world to me!

1738 1/2 Real

Hopefully, there's a few more left for me. If I could only convince the old guy to give it a plough.

No Rick, I found a couple of Indian heads, and some other stuff that I left with the landowner (plated spoon, Egyptian style brooch from 20's?). I couldn't leave that one though... haha....

Wow great Silver 1/2 real, I looked it up in the standard catalog of world coins, "PHILIP. V.D.G. HISPAN. ET IND. REX. struck at Mexico city, very cool

My Apologies Rick after closer inspection it is indead a 1 real, Having the "I" to the left of the sheild. it should weigh in at 3.383g where the half would have a "+" to the left of the sheild and weigh 1.691g

Ah, it is a 1 real?

The varieties I found online seemed to indicate 1/2 real. The other 1738's were Pistareens.
