Decided to take a few picks today of me & my dads finds. He's got about 50yrs in & I've got about 30yrs in.This is not all that we've found but is a good part. All are from the coastal waters here in North Carolina.Maybe one day when I've got sometime I'll get them out a take some better shots in the sun light And get them all gethered up as well seems how they are scattered everywhere through the house.Enjoy
Take Care,
Pete,:hello:

Thanks folks for the kind words.:icon_thumright: Glad to have shared with ya.80yrs seems like a long time & I'm 40 now & my Dad is in the fight of his life with lung cancer. But with the way we hunted these finds alot of factors was involved & time spent walking over some tough terrian, wind, tide all factors.A good day for us would be say like 5 good pieces. So it has taking some time to build such a collection. He got me started young & I've enjoyed it & will continue to add to it as time goes on.

The map below shows some of the tribes these finds would have came from.

Take Care,
& The Best to Each of Ya!

Can you tell me what the round piece in the upper left of the photo is? It looks like something I found with gunflint and buttons just yesterday.

If your talking about the pic. with the butt plate & flints then it's a piece that I've got with my gun parts I've found. And figured it to be a piece off the end of a pistol handle like the pic below.

Super nice collection I always love seeing artifacts from my state...I was down in Kure beach this weekend I wanted to go hunting but didn't know where to look...I asked a few old timers but people looked at me like I was from another planet...ha

G'morning Pete. loved them but it kinda hurt me thinking of one of those entering my hide. he he.

As for you father, tell him that I had terminal neck cancer 9 years ago. I refused radiation and Chemo, and 'cured', not controlled, myself with Cesium chloride. Check it out on the net. I believe that it cost me $150 US. It is compatible with any treatment.

Final thingies, I am now 89, going for 150. I expect to see him there for my birthdy party.

I have a frame of flints also. Few know what they are. Is this correct, honey color ones=French darker ones=English what I've been told?

Yes that's the general rule, not sure how true as I've found the two together on same sites but so much trading & all went on back then it could explain that part.

Ps. If you don't you should get a detector & check over the sites your finding them at,should be other goodies there as well.

In the 1st and 2nd pics you have a large piece with two grooves around it. What is it, and is this one
